A MarkEdit user script that brings iA Writer's authorship highlighting to the open-source editor. AI-written text glows with a rainbow gradient. Human text stays plain. Typing inside a rainbow span carves it back to human automatically — only the new characters revert, the rest stays rainbow.
Everything is tracked using the Markdown Annotations spec, so files stay portable and open correctly in iA Writer too. No build step, no config — drop one .js file into the scripts folder and relaunch.
Features keyboard shortcuts for paste-as-AI (⌘⇧V) and toggle AI/Human (⌘⇧A), a composition stats view, optional shimmer animation, and a collapsing annotation pill that keeps the annotation block out of the way until you need it.
